Texas State Army ROTC Cadet Battalion Commander
I completed my internship with the Texas State University Army ROTC program, serving as the Cadet Battalion Commander for the Bobcat Battalion. In this role, I provided leadership and operational oversight for more than 130 cadets within a structured leadership development organization designed to prepare future Army officers. The program integrates physical training, academic instruction, and field-based leadership experiences to develop disciplined and capable leaders. My responsibilities included planning and synchronizing battalion training, supervising staff operations, briefing the Professor of Military Science and cadre, and assisting in the execution of major events such as field training exercises and Ranger Challenge competitions. As part of a special project, I developed and implemented a Cadet Summer Training (CST) preparation course for MS3 cadets, focused on improving their performance in leadership evaluations, land navigation, and field training tasks. This experience provided practical application of organizational leadership, group development, and performance preparation within a complex, mission-driven environment.
